Sandra Wright is the visionary behind Fresh Start Homes, a sought-after custom home builder in the greater Seattle area. After two decades leading a successful tech and learning consultancy—where she helped global clients like Microsoft build education channels—Sandra made a bold pivot into residential construction.
Her love for building began early, working alongside her father on construction sites as a child. That hands-on foundation, combined with her entrepreneurial spirit, sparked the creation of Fresh Start Homes in 2016. Her very first project—three modern townhomes in Ballard—sold out before completion, thanks to Sandra’s approachable presence on site and passion for connecting with future homeowners.
Today, Sandra brings precision, creativity, and heart to every project. With a reputation for quality and integrity, she leads Fresh Start Homes with the same values she’s always held: craftsmanship, collaboration, and community.

N5 Architecture was founded by Seth Hale in Seattle, WA. Following careers and partnerships at other local firms, N5 set out to define our aesthetic and response to the built and natural environment. Focusing on residential projects N5 has completed many multi-family, townhome, rowhouse and Single-Family projects throughout Washington. Our goal is to enrich the functional needs of the client with experiences of space, light and material. We approach each new project with the belief that a building and its site are fundamentally linked which helps shape our designs.
Our reach is extensive and diverse, but we are not generalists. We take on projects we believe in and know we can execute. We value long-term clients and relationships clients that believe in us, trust us, and acknowledge our results. We know it takes a team effort to make a successful project. We view our clients, consultants, and contractors as members of our team. By working together, we consistently bring our shared vision from concept into reality.
The Story Behind
Fresh Start Homes
Fresh Start Homes began in 2016 with a bold vision and a deeply personal mission. Its first project—a trio of 2,000-square-foot modern townhomes—rose beside Seattle’s historic Ballard Boys and Girls Club. Each home sold before completion, thanks to owner Sandra Wright’s hands-on presence and engaging conversations with curious passersby. The passion was palpable—and contagious.
Before founding Fresh Start Homes, Sandra led WrightRobbins, a global technology and learning consultancy that served clients like Microsoft. For over two decades, she built international training networks and shaped the future of corporate learning. While her pivot to construction may have surprised Seattle’s business community, it made perfect sense to those who knew her best.
Sandra’s connection to building began in childhood, working alongside her father on construction sites—learning how to tie rebar, build fences, and hold a level with precision. Her degree in International Studies from the University of Washington was largely financed through hands-on labor as a road project flagger and restaurant server—jobs that also immersed her in Seattle’s rapidly evolving urban fabric.
Throughout her career in tech, Sandra never lost her love for home design. She eagerly helped friends and family with remodeling projects—curating materials, sketching plans, and assembling a personal archive of design inspiration. In 2015, ready to turn her lifelong passion into a new profession, she sought mentorship from a trusted builder and friend of her late father. Under his guidance, Sandra committed fully to her next chapter.
Since then, she has built distinctive homes in the greater Seattle area and earned a reputation as a thoughtful, reliable, and in-demand builder. Sandra’s story is one of reinvention, vision, and heart—a fresh start in every sense of the word.
